Perfect for ages four to twelve!

This party food package adds a tasty, stress-free treat to your Mendip adventure - whether it's a birthday party or a fun day out with friends. To book, select the number of spaces you would like to book, then choose the date and time. Your reserved table will be arranged automatically.

If your preferred time does not appear, it means we are sold out. You can either select an alternative time or choose to buy food on the day.

What is included in the party food package?

The package takes place at the Alpine Lounge cafe at Mendip Activity Centre and includes:
  • Tables reserved in the Alpine Lounge
  • 50 minutes reserved table time
  • Half a 12 inch margarita pizza per person
  • Shared portion of skin-on fries per person
  • Unlimited squash and water

Can you cater to dietary requirements?

Yes. We can provide vegan and gluten-free pizzas. Please place a note in the comments box at checkout so our team can prepare accordingly.

Is there an option for older children?

The Alpine Lounge is open every day for walk-ins and there is no need to book a table. You can explore the menu and find out more here.

Can I bring a cake?

You are welcome to bring a cake to enjoy during your 50 minute time slot. Other food and drink is not permitted inside the venue. If you would like to bring your own picnic, we have designated outdoor picnic areas available on site.

Birthday Parties

We love a party! All of our activities can be booked as an exclusive event for just you and your friends or family. 


Our Alpine Lounge cafe has plenty of space, you are welcome to bring everyone along and order from the menu on the day. Click here to see the menu. 


If you would prefer to have a guaranteed space, we offer a pizza party package which can be added on to any activity booking. This includes half a margherita pizza per person, bowls of chips for the table and unlimited squash. We'll reserve a table for your party which you will have for 50 minutes. Our pre booked party package food is aimed at children aged 4 - 12. It makes a great addition to a tobogganing party! 

There are no age restrictions and you are welcome to book the package for older children, you can always add more food on the day if you find the portion size a bit on the small side for teenagers and up.

You are able to book any of our activities as a private group for just you and your friends! These make great action parties, ideal for children aged 8+. 


You are able to book tobogganing in 3 different ways. You can book individual spaces for 30 minutes for children aged 4 - 12 (great for smaller parties or tagging on as an extra treat after a different activity), exclusive use of half the slope for 30 minute slots for 8 people (this option is available for everyone aged 4+ with no upper age limit!) or you can book the whole slope for up to 24 children (ages 4 - 12 only) for a whole hour - perfect for a party for the whole class!


Yes our margherita pizzas and chips are suitable for vegetarians. We can offer gluten free, dairy free and vegan alternatives available on request. When you are at the payment stage of your booking, there is the opportunity to add notes, just let us know here any dietary requirements for your group. 

Our party packages are available from ten minutes past the hour. 


If you are booking an activity onsite, please choose an activity slot that finishes on the hour. E.g. if you are booking 30 minutes of tobogganing, start at half past the hour. If you are booking 1 hour of tobogganing, start on the hour. On completion of your activity you have a 10 minute window to get freshened up and head upstairs to the Alpine Lounge.

Sandford Quarry is our private rocksport quarry which is just a 5 minute drive from our Main Activity Centre. Access is by first turning into Quarry Road in Winscombe, nearest postcode, BS25 5RN.  Please do not park on Quarry Road. 


Drive up Quarry Road for about 100m and then, enter the gates on your left. Follow the track into the quarry. You will see our vehicles and instructors. Please drive carefully and slowly, the track is uneven and bumpy in places. 


If you are walking from Mendip Basecamp, please allow 30 minutes.

SUP Bristol is based at Underfall Yard, Cumberland Rd, Bristol BS1 6XG


Our usual meeting place is the Cottage Inn, Baltic Wharf, Cumberland Road, Bristol BS1 6XG. We'll meet you by the slipway and you'll probably see a row of paddleboards. We're a 30 minute walk from the city centre or a short ferry journey!

Hewish is located on Wick Road, just off the A370, near J21 of the M5. As it is a rural site, there is no exact postcode. Coming from the A370, the marked gateway is on your right, just 100 metres past the RCH Brewery. Please drive carefully and slowly on the gravel track for 400 metres until you reach the gravel car park with dark green toilet block. Your Activity Instructor will meet you there shortly before your activity start time.

Caving activity sessions take place in Burrington Combe. We will meet you at the Goatchurch Cavern carpark which is free of charge to park in. It is just off the B3134 (The Combe) road.

Mendip Basecamp is located within the grounds of Mendip Activity Centre., Mendip Activity Centre, Lyncombe Drive, Churchill, BS25 5PQ. 


Follow signs up the drive, keeping to the right rather than entering the main carpark on the left. After a hairpin bend, you will go under the ski slope bridge and pass Mendip Lodge.

To get to Mendip Basecamp, carry on along the track, following signs for Basecamp. You will enter fields and follow a bend round as the track continues up the hill and into the Basecamp camping fields. On arrival, head for the large white marquee, the Pavillion, this is the campsite check in.
